1. What is CRE8 Space?

CRE8 Space is a vocational training and social enterprise organization that equips Black, Latino, and historically underserved youth (ages 14–24) with industrial sewing, e-commerce, AI, and creative entrepreneurship skills to thrive in the fashion and design industries.

2. Who can join CRE8 Space programs?

Our programs are open to youth and young adults in Chicago, especially from the South Shore and surrounding communities. We prioritize applicants who are disconnected from school or work, justice-impacted, or seeking alternative career pathways.

3. What types of programs do you offer?

We offer two core pathways:

• Industrial Sewing & Textile Production (vocational, hands-on training)
• E-Commerce, AI & Fashion Entrepreneurship (virtual and digital skills)

4. Are your programs free?

Yes. Thanks to our grant partners and supporters, CRE8 Space provides tuition-free training. Participants may also qualify for paid apprenticeships or stipends based on program availability.

5. Do students get jobs after completing the program?

Yes. Graduates may be placed in on-the-job training or offered part-time or full-time roles in our custom apparel studio or through our local business partnerships.

6. What makes CRE8 Space different from other job training programs?

We integrate mental health support, peer-to-peer mentorship, purpose discovery, and creative expression with real workforce training. Our dual focus on healing and economic empowerment sets us apart.

7. Where is CRE8 Space located?

We are based in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, operating out of a renovated production studio that also houses our youth training hub.
