From Idea to Impact

A lot of young people in Chicago have the vision to build something. What they don't have is the runway, the time, the money, the mentors, the room to actually do it.

CRE8 Space changes that. We're a vocational social enterprise that pays underserved youth ages 16–24 to start real businesses. Through our learn-and-earn model, participants are compensated as they train, building real revenue, real portfolios, and real experience in the skills today's economy actually rewards: e-commerce, agentic AI, digital marketing, and AI-powered content creation.

Why It Matters

Build a Real Business: Learn how to start and run a business from the ground up, from forming an LLC and opening a business bank account to understanding the systems real entrepreneurs use every day.

Learn AI Tools That Matter: Get hands-on experience with generative and agentic AI tools used by modern businesses for marketing, design, content creation, and automation. These are practical, in-demand skills companies are actively hiring for.

Create, Brand, and Sell: Learn how to bring ideas to life using tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop while building the marketing skills needed to grow a brand. Design websites, launch campaigns, and learn how to attract real customers.

Earn While You Learn: Start making real income through platforms like Upwork and Fiverr, or by building your own business ideas, all with guidance from mentors who have real-world experience doing it themselves.

CRE8 Space mentors aren't advisors who read about entrepreneurship in a book. They're founders, operators, and creators who have built businesses, hit walls, and figured it out. They share what worked, what didn't, and what they wish someone had told them.

That's the difference. Our young people learn from lived experience, not theory.

In 2025, CRE8 Space served over 200 youth across three intensive accelerators in industrial sewing, generative AI, and creative entrepreneurship. The results:

100% completion rate
Registered businesses: multiple LLCs formed, with active business bank accounts and real revenue
Paid internships and employment secured after the program
Industry-recognized certifications earned
One participant was accepted into a master's program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
